At home, you're no longer protected by your company firewall, your Wi-Fi is less secure and your family may share your computer. Here's how to stay as secure at home as at the office.

Rule 1: use a corporate VPN (or better: Zero Trust)
A VPN creates an encrypted tunnel to your company network. If you use Microsoft 365 with Entra ID, Zero Trust conditional access is even better: it verifies your identity, device and location at every connection. More secure, more fluid, no VPN to install.

Rule 2: enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
Even if someone steals your password, they can't log in without the code on your phone. On Microsoft 365, free and activates in 2 minutes via Microsoft Authenticator app.

Rule 3: don't work on a family shared computer
Create separate Windows accounts at minimum. Enable BitLocker (disk encryption) so data is inaccessible if stolen.
